Thorndale Christmas Home Tour

Good afternoon, everyone! As many of you know, a couple of weeks ago, my mother and I participated in the Thorndale Christmas Home Tour. This is our second year being a part of this wonderful event. This event is put on to raise money for the public school in Thorndale, which is a small community that is close to our store. We are so honored to be a part of this fabulous event and we had just as much fun this year as we did the last. I didn’t have the blog last year, so this time, I took the opportunity to get a ton of pictures so that I could share them with you all!

On the tour were 5 homes and one local business that were decorated by local business that donate their time and resources. My mother and I were chosen because of the small boutique that we have in Thamesford, Gracie’s Place. This year, we filled the home with a healthy mix of decor items from the store and DIYs. I will be rolling out tutorials for the DIYs so that you can do them, too!

This is the home we were chosen to decorate. Can I just say… I never wanted to leave this gorgeous home. Total house goals.

Let’s start with the front porch and we will work our way in 🙂This box is my absolute favorite! I had them constructed by a local carpenter, who also happens to be a friend and I cut the “Merry Christmas” out of vinyl with my Cricut cutting machine. We simply tossed in some greens and some birch logs. Perfectly rustic! A rustic grapevine deer from the store. Love this guy!

My mom had these fun snowmen heads that we put in the urns. Here are the urns. Oh, those giant candy canes, you ask? Those are dollar store plastic candy canes spruced up with a bit of burlap and ribbon. Easy peasy, and totally makes them look less dollar store. I fell in love with the porch! Rather than go with a tradition wreath, we hung up this little guy.Window boxes designed by my mother. 

Alright, let’s head inside! I made a bunch of these little snowglobe jars and will be doing up a tutorial real soon! These are so fun to make and easy, too!

The homeowner had a gorgeous coffee table, but it was huge… no, not huge —enormous!I want one, though. Love it!

I know I have said a lot of things were my favorite, but the tree actually was my ABSOLUTE favorite!A rustic sign that I made.
