Hey, hey everybody!!! So it’s time to celebrate my one year blogiversary! That’s right — I hit the one year mark! I have to be honest with all of you, I am quite surprised because this is actually the third blog that I have started. I tried two before and they just didn’t quite pan out. I did a couple of posts, but then eventually just let them go.
It wasn’t until the other day that I figured out why the other two blogs didn’t pan out. There was no theme or structure and I didn’t really have a clue what I was doing. Plus, I wasn’t passionate about anything that I was writing about.
Yup, it’s true — By The Stand was meant to be.
So a year has come and gone and this is what I learned. First off, I learned so much about myself. I learned that I could do things that I hadn’t even dreamed of doing but even more than that, I have discovered this whole other side to myself that I didn’t know was there.
Before I started my blog, I was stuck in a job that I absolutely hated and had no idea that this whole DIY world even existed. By The Stand has opened so many doors and opportunities for me and I hope that it will continue to do so.
I have known for a while that I love to create and make things. I just didn’t know that I was actually good at it. When I started to make and create and people started complimenting me on it, I was completely taken back. The more I explored this side of myself, and the more I started to make stuff, my passion for DIY just grew and grew.
I honestly, don’t even really know how to describe it. To me, it’s kinda like when you are a kid and you finally get to have your most favorite candy in the world. You have been waiting for what seems like forever for you parents to give you the candy. You can’t wait to rip open that package and devour all that delicious candy. You gobble it up so fast and when the package is empty, you just can’t wait to have it again — and again and again.
So yah, to say that I love DIY is a total understatement… I am addicted.
I am so glad that I am able to share my passion and creativity with all of you!
So thank you to you all from the very bottom of my heart! I could not do this without all of your love and support and I look forward to many more years of DIY, blogging and good ol’ fashioned fun!
Can’t wait to see what kind of shenanigans we can get into! 😀
Congrats to you. I am looking forward to many more years of viewing and commenting on your fabulous work. Keep up the great work.
Thank you so much Ivory!! 🙂
