Well some of you may have noticed that I have been a little bit absent lately and for this, I do apologize, but it is for very good reason. My husband and I have just purchased our first home! We are over the moon excited and cannot wait to get into our first home! We have been renters for far too long! I cannot wait to put my own touch and look on this house and time is going so slow that I am afraid it maybe going backward.
We are 30 days away now, though!
The first thing I hope to change is the front door. Right now it is that builder basic door. My favorite style of door is a craftsmen style. Something like this….

These doors are quite costly so this may be something that might not happen right away. Unless of course, I can score one second hand from the ReStore or something.
Another dream is a gable timber wood arch over my front door.
Again, something that may not happen right away.
Let’s move on to the entryway.
I don’t have a lot of space so I am thinking of doing a small slender farmhouse style table. I love these pictures and are going to use them for inspiration.

One of the things that attracted us most to this house was the kitchen. It is all brand new, so there won’t be much that we have to do. However, there isn’t much space for a table. I found this really neat idea on Pinterest from Sawdust 2 Stitches and I love it! A great alternative for people that don’t have a large dining area.
Another DIY that I really and I mean really want to do is a scallop accent wall in my daughter’s bedroom. I saw this one on Fixer Upper and fell in love!! Any Fixer Upper fans, here? Chip and Joanna are my favorite! Take a look at this gorgeous accent wall that Chip did.
I am going to leave it at this for today, because I could go on and on, but feel free to share your favorite projects and DIYs with me! I hope you will come back and subscribe so that you don’t miss out on all the changes we will be making to our home. I can’t wait to share this process with you all!
Til’ next time!
