Guys, I am so excited to share this DIY with you!! I have been trying to get it up on the blog all week because I am just so darn proud of it!
I made myself a new coffee table!
I’ve been wanting desperately to replace my coffee table. It’s not that there was anything wrong with it, it’s just that I feel my living room needed a new look.
The hubby and I headed out to my favorite antique market in hopes of finding a coffee table that I could make over.
We saw this little gem and I said to the hubs, that is exactly what I want but I also wanted to make something myself.
And that’s when out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a glass coffee table with a cast iron leg frame.
I looked at my husband and I said, let’s make our own coffee table similar to the one I first saw.
So we scooped up the $35 old coffee table and took it home. I didn’t need the glass portion so we left it at the market.
Now I had to work some DIY magic and make a table top.
Here’s all the wood that I got.
So, for the lumber, I spent about $40.
Using a miter saw, I cut my strips of plywood at a 45-degree angle.
So I started on one side and made my cuts.
There’s a setting on a miter saw to turn it to a 45-degree angle, so it makes doing something like this really easy.
Here’s my “puzzle” all put together.
