Hello, friends!
It has been a long time since I sat down to write a blog post—and if you have followed Holly Grace for many years, you may have wondered where I have been and what I have been up to.
The short answer?
I have been creating… just in a different place.
Read more: Where Have I Been? A Little Life & YouTube UpdateOver the past little while, most of my creative energy has moved over to my YouTube channel, and it has become such a wonderful extension of everything I have always shared here on the blog.

If you originally found me through my DIY projects, budget-friendly home décor, thrifted finds, seasonal decorating, crafts, homemaking, or my love of turning ordinary things into something beautiful, you will find all of that—and so much more—over on YouTube.
The biggest difference is that now you can actually come along with me.
Instead of only seeing the finished project in photographs, you can watch the entire process. You can see the supplies I find, follow along with each step, learn from my mistakes, laugh with me when something does not go according to plan, and hopefully leave feeling inspired to create something beautiful for your own home.
My YouTube Channel Has Become My Creative Home
When I first started sharing videos, I do not think I realized how much I would grow to love YouTube.
It allows me to slow down and create more meaningful content. I can take you shopping with me to Dollar Tree, Dollarama, thrift stores, and other favourite places. I can show you how I transform inexpensive finds into beautiful home décor, share seasonal inspiration, experiment with new craft supplies, work on larger projects, and bring you along for the entire creative journey.

Lately, I have been sharing everything from budget-friendly DIYs and Dollar Tree projects to craft supply hauls, seasonal decorating ideas, thrifted treasures, home projects, and new creative techniques.
I have also discovered some new hobbies along the way. Embroidery has quickly become one of my favourite things to do, and I am excited to continue learning, experimenting, and sharing more of that journey with you. I am very much a beginner in many of the things I try—and I actually think that is part of the fun.
You do not have to be an expert to make something beautiful.
You do not need an enormous craft room, the most expensive supplies, or years of experience. Sometimes you simply need an idea, a little encouragement, and the willingness to try.

That has always been at the heart of Holly Grace, and it is something I hope comes through in every video I create.
The Channel Is Growing—and I Am So Grateful
Something very exciting has been happening recently: my YouTube channel is really beginning to take off.
More and more people are finding my videos, joining our little creative community, sharing their own ideas in the comments, and returning each week to see what we are making next.
Watching this community grow has been incredibly encouraging.
Building something online does not happen overnight. There are countless hours spent planning projects, shopping for supplies, filming, editing, creating thumbnails, answering comments, and dreaming up what to make next.

But seeing someone comment that a project inspired them to start crafting again—or that they are excited to try something they never thought they could make—makes all of that work worthwhile.
If you have subscribed, watched one of my videos, left a comment, shared a video, or supported my work in any way, thank you. Every view, comment, and kind word helps my channel continue to grow and allows me to create even more.
And if you have followed my blog for years but have not visited my YouTube channel yet, I would truly love for you to join me there.
That is where I am most active now, and it is the best place to keep up with everything I am creating.
Why I Am Stepping Away From Instagram and Facebook
I have also made another decision recently.
For the foreseeable future, I will no longer be actively creating content for Instagram or Facebook.
For a long time, I felt like I needed to be everywhere.
Post on the blog.
Film for YouTube.
Create something different for Instagram.
Make Reels.
Share Stories.
Keep up with Facebook.
Post constantly so an algorithm would not forget about me.
Eventually, I realized how much time all of that was taking away from actually creating—and from real life.
Instagram, in particular, has never felt like the right fit for me. So much of social media is designed to keep us endlessly scrolling, consuming tiny pieces of content, and moving immediately on to the next thing.
Before we know it, an hour has disappeared.
Personally, I do not want to spend my days trying to keep up with a platform that constantly pulls people away from the life happening around them.
I would rather make something.
Learn a new skill.
Decorate a room.
Try a new craft.
Work with my hands.
Spend time at home.
Create something meaningful.
And I would rather encourage you to do those things too.
That does not mean I think every part of social media is bad, and it certainly does not mean that everyone needs to make the same choice. It simply means that I have realized I cannot—and do not want to—give my time and creative energy to every platform.
My time is valuable.
Your time is valuable too.
I want the content I create to leave you feeling inspired to put down your phone and make something—not keep you scrolling forever.
Why YouTube Feels Different to Me
Of course, YouTube is still an online platform, but the way I use it feels very different.
When you choose one of my videos, my hope is that it feels less like endless scrolling and more like sitting down with a creative friend.
Maybe you watch while you enjoy your morning coffee.
Maybe you put a video on while you are crafting.
Maybe we go shopping together.
Maybe you follow one of my tutorials and create your own version.
Or maybe you simply relax, gather ideas, and feel inspired to make your home a little more beautiful without spending a fortune.
YouTube gives me the space to teach, tell stories, share the entire creative process, and build a genuine community around the things we love.
That is where I want to focus.
Instead of stretching myself thin trying to create content for every platform, I want to put my energy into making the very best videos I can.
What Is Coming Next?
There is so much planned for the rest of this year—and I truly feel like some of the best things are still ahead.
You can expect lots of new videos, including:
- Budget-friendly DIY projects
- Dollar Tree and Dollarama finds
- Thrifted treasures and creative makeovers
- Seasonal decorating inspiration
- New and unique craft supplies
- Beginner-friendly projects
- Embroidery and other traditional crafts
- Cozy homemaking inspiration
- Larger creative challenges and projects
- Plenty of fall and Christmas content
And, knowing me, probably a few unexpected projects along the way!
I have so many ideas written down that I sometimes wonder how I will ever make them all—but I am certainly going to try.
This next chapter feels exciting.

My channel is growing, new opportunities are beginning to open up, and I feel more inspired than ever to create useful, beautiful, encouraging content.
Most importantly, I want Holly Grace to continue being a place where creativity feels possible.
You do not need a designer budget to create a beautiful home.
You do not need to be naturally artistic to become creative.
You do not need to do everything perfectly.
You simply have to begin.
Come Join Me on YouTube
If you have missed seeing new posts here, I hope you will come over and join me on YouTube.
The blog will still be here, and I may stop in from time to time when I have something longer to share, a project that deserves its own written space, or an update like this one.
But YouTube is where you will find me most often.
It is where the new projects are happening.
It is where I am sharing my latest finds.
It is where our creative community is growing.
And it is where so many exciting things are coming throughout the rest of this year.
So make yourself a cup of coffee, choose a video, and come spend some creative time with me.
And if you enjoy what you see, I would love for you to subscribe and introduce yourself in the comments. Let me know that you came over from the blog—I would be so happy to hear from you.
Thank you for continuing to follow along, even through quieter seasons and changing chapters.
The blog may have been quiet…
But behind the scenes, I have been creating more than ever.
And I cannot wait to show you what is coming next.
With love,
Holly Grace
